The pic above is one I was going to include in this post, but I decided not to because my former occupation no longer is a prime factor in my life, whereas at the very least the expressions on the two images below portray how I’m feeling at least some of the time each day.

I’m nowhere near being the loneliest writer, or former writer, in the world, but one thing I miss as a result of being retired and – ulp – catastrophically ill is hanging out with other writers.
