Got the above pic via snail mail from Amazon last week and just noticed that the only way you can order anything – or even find out the price – in this catalog is to scan the QR codes on the various pages.

I find it fascinating that in an era where more than one generation of young adults can’t afford to live anywhere but in their parents’ homes, contemporary technology is doing its best to make those very parents totally irrelevant to daily life – including gift shopping, for crissakes!

Another surprise brought to us by the process of aging.
